F***ing Friday Freebie from ATP

This weekend Holy Fuck will join Throwing Muses, Bon Iver, Wire, CSS, Melt Banana and many more at The Breeders curated ATP festival.

A series of indie remixes, a solid debut album and some banging singles have positioned Holy Fuck as a leader among the many late 2000’s F**k bands (w/ Fuck Buttons, Fucked Up) and their set at Glastonbury last year was hailed by NME as one of the top three performances of Glastonbury 2008. All this means is ATP attendees should be in for an f***ing good time.

The Breeders Fate to Fatal

The Breeders are readying themselves to release Fate to Fatal a four track EP containing a Mark Lanegan collaboration and (strangely) a Bob Marley cover.

Just confirmed the Bawley team will have a notepad in the crowd reviewing the new tracks as the band plays them at this May’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival (which The Breeders also curate).

The Breeders hand-picked line up will also include sets from Melt Banana, Bon Iver, Deerhunter, Gang of Four, X, The Soft Pack, Tricky, Holy Fuck, and CSS.

Having grabbed 5 positions including number 1 in the inaugural Bawley 100 it is no secret that Bawley (heart) radiohead.

Today radiohead launched http://www.radioheadremix.com where fans can upload their own remixes of the Nude single.

To make the remixing easier, the separate parts of the song have been made available for purchase from iTunes. The parts available are bass, voice, guitar, strings/fx and drums. You can mix them in any way you like, either by adding your own beats and instrumentation, or just remixing the original parts.

The thing is... each part of the song costs the same price as a normal iTunes download ($1.69 in Australia) and any remix you create will become the property of Warner/Chappell Music, further Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Phil Selway will be registered and credited as the sole writers of the remixes of the song created by you.

Come on surely they could have done this without charging for the song parts, oh yeah the radioheadremix promotion is sponsored by iTunes.
