Moses to Santa to us, the Rosetta Stone to the Periodic Table to the Bawley 100. Evolution does not end. The next list will be even more immersive, an embodied register where you’re in the list, not just looking at it, and we call this the Bawley-verse.
You’re going to be able to rank almost anything you can imagine, evaluate friends and family, judge work and play, score entirely new things that don’t really fit into how we think about end of year lists today. Now, since we’re doing this on New Year’s Eve - the day before the future, I figured let’s make this special.
So for today we’ve put together something that we think is really going to give you a feeling for what a future list could be like. We believe the Bawley-verse will be the successor to the best of list. We’ll be able to feel judged like we’re right there, ranked above some below others, all in a virtual reality world. The list will be expressed in new, joyful, completely immersive ways unlocking amazing new experiences. When we send our friends a link to a Bawley list (they’re going to actually open it – right?), they will feel like they’re right in the list with us. No matter how pointless the whole thing really is.
