The Hottest 100 Of All Time

Aussie radio station Triple j is celebrating 20 years of its annual Hottest 100 poll with a vote for The Hottest 100 Of All Time.

The triple j Hottest 100 started out in 1989 as a vote for the ‘hottest’ song of all time. In that year the top ten looked like this:
1. Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
2.
Hunters & Collectors - Throw Your Arms Around Me
3.
The The - Uncertain Smile
4.
The Jam - That's Entertainment
5.
New Order - Blue Monday
6.
Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia
7.
The Smiths - How Soon Is Now?
8.
Hunters & Collectors - Talking To A Stranger
9.
The Sugarcubes - Birthday
10.
The Cure - A Forest
The last triple j Hottest 100 of All Time was run in 1998. Gone was much of the 80s post punk and indie pop, replaced with grunge and 90s rock:
1. Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
2.
Hunters & Collectors - Throw Your Arms Around Me
3.
Pearl Jam - Alive
4.
Jeff Buckley - Last Goodbye
5.
Radiohead - Creep
6.
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven
7.
Metallica - One
8.
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
9.
Metallica - Enter Sandman
10.
Pearl Jam - Black
How will the 2009 list turn out? Will Hunters & Collectors keep their second placing? Will any 2000s bands break into the top of the chart? How will you vote? We at Bawley want to know it all.

And yes, Bawley’s own ‘Doing the Sums (Are you Joe Average)?’ quiz will be back with a special Hottest 100 of all time twist. So make sure you vote.

You can vote here, voting closes at midnight June 28th AEST.

I'm finding it really difficult to: a) whittle down 10 all time favourite songs, and b), vote - is anyone else finding the voting page really slow? It keeps timing out for me...

yeah it was really slow for me as well.

I know it is pretty much impossible I choose my ten with out too much thought have some buyers remorse but am pretty happy with the selection.
