The Triple J Hottest 100 is an Australia day tradition and while the Bawley crew listen to more Double J than Triple J these days the countdown still provides opportunity to talk about the years music and measure your taste against popular opinion in the Are you Joe Average? Hottest 100 quiz.

The Bawley 100 - New Years Eve 2015/2016

Happily ensconced in the obscure, with a barely active music blog and a taste for the alternative, the Bawley crew's past suddenly caught up with them.

In 2015 they were sentenced to spend a year in a minimum-security prison, punished for their 10 year old association with a known pan pipe player. Forced to trade headphones for handcuffs, soundcloud for shared showers, and band t-shirts for boiler-suits.

The Bawley crew made their way through the corrections system and adjusted to life behind bars, marking time with a list of the 100 best songs of 2015.

In 2015 Orange is the new Bawley.

The Bawley 100 - New Years Eve 2014/2015

In a dystopian future, the totalitarian nation of Bawley is divided between the districts and the Capitol. Each year three young representatives are selected to participate in The Bawley Games. Part list, part brutal retribution for a past rebellion, the list is published throughout Bawley on New Year's Eve. The participants are forced to select and rank the 100 best tracks of the year while the citizens of Bawley are required to listen.
