(Doing the Sums 2015) Are You Joe Average?

The Triple J Hottest 100 is an Australia day tradition and while the Bawley crew listen to more Double J than Triple J these days the countdown still provides opportunity to talk about the years music and measure your taste against popular opinion in the Are you Joe Average? Hottest 100 quiz.

Here is how it works:

  1. Write out a list of the songs you voted for in the triplej Hottest 100.
  2. Write down the position each of these came in the triplej Hottest 100.
  3. If a song did not make the list put down 101.
  4. Add up the scores, and divide by the number of songs you voted for.
  5. Post your results as a comment to this blog entry.

How to interpret your score:

1-13: You are Kingsmill Kunta
14-29: Answer that Hotline Bling
30-40: You've been spending time in Loud Places
41-52: Pedestrian at Best
53-65: You were Foolish to think you would score higher?
66-77: You were on trend Once.
78-89: This score should bring you Down To Earth\
90-100: True Friends don't judge.
101: Whatever the Hottest 100 has been rubbish since the ice cream CD anyway.

The Bawley 100 - New Years Eve 2015/2016

Happily ensconced in the obscure, with a barely active music blog and a taste for the alternative, the Bawley crew's past suddenly caught up with them.

In 2015 they were sentenced to spend a year in a minimum-security prison, punished for their 10 year old association with a known pan pipe player. Forced to trade headphones for handcuffs, soundcloud for shared showers, and band t-shirts for boiler-suits.

The Bawley crew made their way through the corrections system and adjusted to life behind bars, marking time with a list of the 100 best songs of 2015.
